Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking a Management Trainee for a direct hire opportunity in Logistics Operations. This full-time, hourly position is located in Baltimore City and is part of a succession program to prepare trainees for management positions in 5+ years time. This full-time role offers a unique chance to gain comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in terminal operations, logistics, and business management within a dynamic maritime environment.

Responsibilities

• Participating in day-to-day tasks related to the handling of various cargo.
• Assisting in stevedoring operations, mechanic shop activities, and warehousing tasks.
• Facilitating transfer operations between different modes of transportation.
• Gaining exposure to various departments to understand terminal operations comprehensively.
• Driving business strategies and operations under the Management Trainee program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
• Prior internships or experience in logistics, supply chain, or maritime operations preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Physical agility and ability to lift heavy objects.
• Basic knowledge of maritime operations and cargo handling.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience with forklift operation is a plus.

Required Work Hours

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with potential for overtime and weekends as needed.

Additional Details

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $27 to $30 per hour, plus Overtime Hours. Please note that a background check is required, and the workplace maintains a drug, alcohol, and nicotine-free environment.
