Medical Lab Technician (MLT) – Contract Assignment

Location: Plains, MT

Shift: Night Shift | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM | 7 on / 7 off

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Weekly Pay: $2,200 – $2,400

Pride Health is currently seeking experienced Medical Lab Technicians (MLT) to support our client’s laboratory team in Plains, Montana. This 13-week contract assignment offers an immediate start and is ideal for professionals looking to make a meaningful impact in a respected healthcare facility.

Job Responsibilities

Perform laboratory testing and procedures in accordance with approved protocols, with minimal supervision
Collect, process, and analyze specimens, including blood collection when required
Perform, document, and evaluate quality control procedures; initiate corrective actions as needed
Operate laboratory instrumentation according to established procedures and document required maintenance
Identify abnormal, discrepant, or unexpected test results and investigate appropriately
Communicate delays, issues, or potential problems to leadership in a timely manner
Utilize LIS, EMR, and other laboratory systems to complete testing and special projects
Assist with error detection, investigation, documentation, and process improvement initiatives
Participate in training students and new employees; assist with curriculum development as needed

Required Qualifications

Associate’s degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution
Strong communication skills with the ability to address customer inquiries professionally

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of two (2) years of clinical laboratory experience

Certification Requirements

MLT or MLS certification by ASCP
ASCP certification
