Russell Tobin's client is hiring a Merchandise Planner in Reynoldsburg, OH

Employment Type: Contract

Location: Onsite - Reynoldsburg, OH 43068

Pay rate: $30-$34/hr

Responsibilities:

• Manage sales plans and inventory levels for the EU digital channel to drive growth and meet business objectives.
• Analyze market trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable insights through assortment planning and tiering analysis.
• Optimize inventory across distribution centers and operating models by participating in Monthly Planning Committee (MPC) meetings
• Collaborate with merchants on assortment strategy, product launches, and markdown planning to maximize profitability.
• Ensure digital active dates and product information are accurate and properly aligned within internal systems and planning tools.
• Oversee the flow of international exclusives through the product development process, ensuring complete and accurate product data for EU and franchise sites.
• Continuously monitor and adjust inventory levels to minimize markdowns and improve sell-through performance.
• Maintain accurate ring-fencing across channels and ensure alignment with brand-wide inventory strategies and processes.
• Partner with logistics teams and carriers to provide accurate EU distribution center volume forecasts and projections.
• Build and foster cross-functional relationships to ensure clear communication and collaboration.
• Run reports, manage transfers, and support ad hoc analysis to address business needs and operational challenges.

Requirements:

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong data analysis capabilities.
• Ability to interpret large, complex data sets and turn insights into actionable strategies.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork.
• Experience in retail planning, merchandising, or inventory management.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Merchandise Planning & Allocation (MP&A).
• Previous exposure to international or digital retail planning.
