Job Description

Job Title: Senior Patient Registrar

Location: Flushing, NY 11355

Shift: 9AM – 6PM, M-F

Duration: 5 Months with a strong possibility of extension

Pay Range: $21/hour - 27/hour on W2

Job Summary:

• Verify patient identities, obtain necessary authorizations or consent, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
• Confirm insurance coverage, pre-authorize services, and explain billing processes or payment options to patients.

Requirements:

• 1-3 yrs clerical exp in medical office setting (required)
• Bilingual: Spanish - Preferred
• Exp in EMR, managed care insurance.
• Data entry skills of 4500 keystrokes (required).
• Knowledge of health insurance benefits/requirement, Coding: ICD 9, CPT-4 (Preferred)
• Exp scheduling procedures.
• Strong analytical, organizational & time management skills.
• Exp w/prior authorization for imaging and medication, insurance verifications.
