Job Title: Vice President of Talent and DevelopmentJob Summary:
The Vice President of Talent and Development is responsible for leading the organization’s talent strategy, focusing on employee development, leadership growth, and succession planning. This executive-level role will drive initiatives to attract, retain, and develop top talent while fostering a culture of continuous learning, diversity, equity, and inclusion. The VP will work closely with senior leadership to ensure that talent strategies align with organizational goals and promote long-term growth.Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Strategy Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive talent management strategy that aligns with business objectives and supports the organization’s vision for growth.
- Lead the talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract top talent.
- Oversee workforce planning and succession planning to ensure the organization has the right leadership pipeline in place.
- Employee Development & Learning
- Design and implement training and development programs aimed at enhancing employee skills, knowledge, and leadership abilities at all levels.
- Develop leadership development initiatives to identify and groom high-potential talent for leadership roles.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning by leveraging technology, external training programs, and mentorship opportunities.
- Performance Management
- Oversee performance management systems to ensure alignment with business objectives and encourage a high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to provide coaching, feedback, and strategic guidance to key managers and executives.
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)
- Champion DEI initiatives, ensuring that recruitment, retention, and development programs support a diverse and inclusive workplace.
- Lead efforts to build a work environment where all employees feel valued, respected, and included.
- Organizational Development
- Drive change management initiatives to support organizational growth and transformation.
- Identify opportunities to improve employee engagement and morale through talent development and recognition programs.
- Budget & Resource Management
- Develop and manage the budget for the talent and development department.
- Ensure efficient use of resources to maximize the impact of talent development initiatives.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with senior leaders, HR, and other departments to ensure talent development initiatives are aligned with organizational needs and priorities.
- Serve as an advisor to leadership on workforce trends, leadership development, and employee engagement.
Qualifications:
- Education : Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
- Experience :
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in talent management, learning and development, or HR, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of designing and executing talent strategies at an executive level.
- Skills :
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and partner with senior leadership.
- In-depth knowledge of organizational development, employee engagement, and leadership development best practices.
- Expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion practices.
- Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
